May Cup Racing Information

The May Series runs for 4 consecutive Wednesdays with prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd placement in both the Spinnaker (Division 1) and Non-Spinnaker (Division 3) divisions. The U.S. Sailing Association’s Racing Rules of Sailing (2005 – 2008) govern this regatta.  Scoring uses the Time-on-Time System, correcting elapsed time by a formula using the yacht’s handicap factor.  Races start west of Majors Cove in Shelter Island Sound at approximately 6 PM and finish off the Breakwater.
