This Sunday (June 3) marked the return of the American Hotel Suffolk County
National Bank Summer One Design Racing Series.
With Southerly winds 8-15, 2 Lasers and 8 JY's including 3 Junior
Sailors and their parents as Crew came out to Sail 5 Races.
The teams of Lee Oldak with Eva Burmeister and Derek Galen and Barbara
Rizzi tied for first with the tie breaker going to Lee & Eva.
Pearson Potts and his Dad were third overall and won the Junior -
Parent Division.
4th went to Mike Gershenson & Agnes Niebrzydowska. 5th place went to
Steve & Jocelyn Hamilton
7th place and 2nd in the Junior Parent division went to Hank
Oppenheimer and his Dad.
8th place and 3rd in the Junior Parent Division went to Ryan Lewis and
his Dad.
Denise Fenchel prevailed over Billy Bishop in the Laser Division for
1st and 2nd.
The American Hotel Suffolk County National Bank Summer One Design
Racing Series is hosted by Breakwater Community Sailing Center and is
sailed off of Havens Beach in Sag Harbor every Sunday 3-5 PM.
