During
each of its voyages, Makulu's crew collaborates with middle and elementary school
classrooms to cultivate curricular materials based on the expedition. Students
are able to access lesson plans, activities and resource pages on the Reach The
World website at www.reachtheworld.org. Visitors to the site can read the ship's logs, which are updated weekly; enjoy
the field notes and passage notes that provide information about sights, sounds
and crewmember experiences; and, for teachers, learn about the Reach The World
lesson plans created during the voyage.
